I enjoyed playing on the AoC pvp servers. It was fun, you had to be aware of your surroundings who was coming in and out and if you over pulled you had to run your ass off to live. If not you picked yourself up and did it again.

If you group more often which prevents a significant amount of pvp ganking because its hard to convince the entire group to just gank one person.

Yeah the 12 year olds might do it but then the next time around they won't have a group and you can hunt them down and kill them over and over again.

I think that the open servers will be a ton of fun and if there are people on to run stuff with I doubt that getting ganked will be that big of a problem.

ok something else you need to realize, people are going to hunt you in pve, no doubts about it for this reason....

The 80 renoune ranks (pvp ranks) well you gain ren from stuff like capturing keeps, objectives, etc oh yes and killin you. Now you gain ren for killin other guys and such but you also stock up renoun to be taken by other guys when they kill you (honor points wow **** like that) but you also gain it in pve, the longer you go between deaths and the more you do between em the more ren you worth, you know theres gonna be people hunting ren in pve areas, so its not just a matter of little douches, its a matter of i dont want ganked every 5 mins when i lower health just because said douche thinks i might have ren for him.

If thats cool with you guys, have fun in open. If you think I lack balls because I want to play pve when i want to pve and pvp when i want to pvp, well then thats your perogative. I just dont have the paitentce for the half of the player base who will be little usless ****s (and you know a game like this will bring em in). So have fun getting ganked and such.

Open seems to be the only way to go in this game. If 90% of the end game is RvR, Core will be the suck.

Not sure I agree.. I think the Open and Core Rule set will converge and be very close at end game. It will effect lower levels more. The % amount of PvE content is supposed to go down the higher the tier. Where the content is 90%???? RvR at end game made. That based on a video podcast I saw by the developer a long time ago. may have changed.

If i was a carebare I woulndt be interested in a game like this period.

As for the skew percentage on core. its something like

teir 1 60/40
teir 2 50/50
teir 3 35/65
teir 4 20/80

pve/pvp

but yeah if you guys wish to go open have fun, im still goin core sorry theres no discussion for me here (as im looking not just at first week but down the road i have no wish to be ganked every time im makin newbs, if thats for you guys more power to ya as i said)

Oh well if im off on my own or just with alc (dunno what hes gonna do, think core) it lets me choose my faction based on what i wish to do not guild so that works for me to.

I'm not gonna try and convince ya any more, theres plenty of pvp on core server, if its not enough for ya, have fun on open. When your tired of getting ganked, i'll be waiting on a core to laugh at you.... ALOT.
