Here is my feeling on PvE servers vs. PvP servers.
Since both types exists, the more PvP interested people will be looking at the PvP servers. The people that hate PvP will be on the PvE servers.
So what? This means this is the chance that the PvE server you choice will not have enough PvP players for PvP to happen. I think the chance for a strong PvP communuty is higher on a PvP server.
But!!! I don't the difference between the server types. So I could be wrong. That can effect things as well.
yes, tuesdays don't really work well for me. Honestly I would just rather be considered a 3-day-a-week raider. And for planning purposes i know it is easiest if people are always gone on the same day every week. So I made the decision to not raid on tuesdays.

So as of this moment I have the following recruited to come play, and all of us are looking forward to being ona straight PvP server.
Erik- Necro or Herald of Xotli Allen- Conqueror or Barb Myself- Assassin Wes- Haven't confirmed him yet still in talking stages usually prefers healer Dan- DPS or Healer class Lacey - Priest of Mitra Jeffrey- another not 100% confirmed but would play tank or dps
how did you get your pre-order key? I pre-ordered through amazon, but I dont think i received a key.
I went to an EB Games store and put down a deposit on the game. The guy behind the counter ripped off a card from a pad that had a little scratch-n-win style bar on it that had my key under it.
It says:
This key has certain benefits: * Fulfillment of your in-game item * Early Access Program
To be honest , I've seen things on the forums that are like ,"If played correctly, you can hit level 20 in a day of good gaming." Not really sure if its 100% especially since they could modify the experience rewards and what not. I did find this pretty cool feat calculator tho..

Well I pretty much know that I am bringing four with me whenever they are on, Lacey,Erik,Allen and myself, so i would really prefer a PvP server. I think we are all experienced enough gamers to figure out the game mechanics in a very short amount of time, IMO skill will play a huge difference in this game, with combos having to be keystrokes and what not in combat. I'm just wondering if they are going to give a respec option in game right off the bat?
Here is the link to what I think I will go out to start for my first build with assassin. I figure plenty of lifetaps, some moderate crowd control abilities, hate reducers and some decent self buffs. Just depends on how many soul gems you can effectively carry or own at one time.
as far as everythign I've read skoot your gonna be dissapointed, sounds like most of aocs end game is pvp and raids, and thats about it (kinda akin to wow with maybe half wows content)
oh and lets not forget client stability issues, they traded graphics for client stability, so it crashes alot
tbh alof of ddo guys are talkin about aoc and everytime i hear aoc mentioned i think of sheep *baaaaah* the typical ooh flashy *baaaah*
oh well, i think you'll be sadly dissapointed, end of the year warhammer will be out, not as pretty but much more content and better game from everything i've seen/read, and if your a scifi guy or a stargate fan, stargate worlds opens beta this summer and release in sept or oct
oh and scoot that was me that got screwed with amazon
Really I am just looking for something to hold my interest between now and warhammer.
If the game is good great. If it sucks then I hope it doesn't suck to much so that I have **** to do until War comes out. EQ2 is great and there is stuff to accomplish but the non raid stuff has been done and is getting old.
So far though everyone that was on the line after playing the beta they preordered it so to me that says that it isn't a terrible game.
It seems like all of us are pretty interested in PvP so we might as well just start on a PvP server instead of leveling on both. Sounds like we will have about 7 of us on if everyone is there.

Early Access sold out Hello everyone. We here at Funcom are extremely happy with the demand that has been for our Early Access program. That demand has been so immense, that we are now sold out! We know that several people will be unhappy to not receive their Early Access time, but please bear with us in the remaining days. So:
* All English Early Access has sold out * Some Early Access still available in Germany and France * All Virtual items work will work on valid pre-order keys * Pre-orders on accounts that was later cancelled will have their keys/account disabled
Thank you and look forward to seeing you all in Hyboria very shortly!
Yeah looks like i wont be playing early access -- but My guess is that 50% of the early access time will be consumed my authentication server failures and hangs. or atleast that is what typically happens with the new release of a MMO.
I will probably roll up a character first on a PvP server and see how it goes. If it is a gank-fest I'll quickly switch over to a PvE. However, if we have a larger enough crowd ganking shouldnt be much of an issue.
