They are saying it ships on the 15th/16th and goes live the 18th.

If you preorder though you will be able to play head start otherwise known as a ton of down time while they are doing massive beta test prior to release.

I think anywhere you decide to order it from just make sure they are going to send you an email with your account code so that you have open beta and head start access. This way it shouldn't matter when it ships since you will already have and be playing the game.

I preordered mine from gamespot just like I did for AoC and doubt I will have and problems.

So far everytime you order from amazon zad you end up fvcking your selfover.

Gamespot or directly from EA ftw.

As far as sides I thought it was order vs destruction and that Chaos was a part of the Destruction realm..

Yeah EA is really pushing them for release.

They cut quite a bit of content similar to what AoC did so I am kind of worried it won't come out that well.

AoC had pretty good PvP but the PvE, UI, Guild setup, etc. was just terrible. Hopefully WAR is more polished.

yeah preorders will get into the level 20 open beta
and no im not ordering off amazon again, i've learned my lesson.

i think if you order it off of gamestop and use the code WAR you get free over night shipping on it, saw that on a forum earlier today, as for sides, in the closed they didnt lock you to a side but on the live servers they will

so if you pick destruction on a server, you wont be able to make any order guys on that account on that server

so we may want to pick two servers, a destruction and an order server. Personally id really like to play a dwarven engineer on order and either a witch hunter or a squig herder on destrucion

the one downside im seeing with the game besides realm locking is that the level cap is only 40

i would rather see 40 quality levels instead of 80 crappy levels. QUALITY >>> QUANTITY level cap is a completely fictitious thing anyways. I can make a game with 5 levels, but if each of those levels takes a year of playing new and changing content then it could be better than the game that has 80 levels that you have to repetitively grind through.

AoC would have been better if they had 40 levels instead of 80.

There were gaps where you made a level but had no more quests or didn't get anything for leveling.

DDO only had 10 levels so level cap isn't everything.

regarding the playing of the "Black Orc", I don't think i want to play a pure-tank -- I would rather play the "Choppa" but since they yanked that class I need to choose something else. The CHAOS ranged spell caster riding on a demonic disk of doom looks pretty cool as well.

well ig, none of the healers are pure healers, all of em are more in the line of battleclerics in ddo.

The greenskin goblin shaman is a half healer, half damage dealer
the dwarven ruinpriest is a semihealer
the elven archmage is a half healer half mage,

so theres no truly dedicated to being a healer, your gonna have a hybrid healer, damage dealer, debuffer if you pick any of the healing classes, though from what i've seen it looks like if we stick together we'll probably be going destruction so if you want the best destruction healer, its probably goblin shaman, and their WAAAAAHG meter sounds kinda fun, the more you use dmg spells the more power you charge on your heal meater for a mega heal, the more you use healing the more you charge your dmg meter for a mega boom WAAAAAHG.

(WAAAAHG=the goblin shamanss charging bars, all classes have em)

ok after reading more, it looks like the chaos zelot is more of the pure healer on the destruction side, followed closely by the greenskin shaman, both are healer/buffer/cc/range magic, theres also the black elf disciple but you NEED to mele to heal, hes basically you run up, hit stuff and as your meter charges you use that meter to throw ae heal and ae hots.

So for you iggy id say shaman or zelot, i dont see you liking a DOK very much since its the complete and utter personification of a mele bettle cleric LOL (to put it in terms youd understand better, aocs bear shaman, something like that)

(this is for destruction side i'll look and see if i can find the best thing u might with to play on alliance side)
